Healthcare for All
I believe healthcare is a basic human right. The US spends more on healthcare than any other nation, including what is spent on prescription drugs. Millions of Americans are either underinsured or uninsured, and cost should never be a barrier to receiving preventative care and medical treatment.
Restoring the Middle Class
The middle class has been shrinking for decades and we are in the midst of an affordability crisis. In Congress I would advocate for housing affordability and stock, making childcare more affordable, Social Security Reform, and supporting local farmers.
Restoring Faith & Trust in Democracy
We need a government that works for us, the people, not special interests. Neither party has successfully handled the national debt crisis, and it can no longer be ignored. There is dire need for campaign finance reform, and I would work for term limits for all branches of government and banning Congressional stock trading.
